How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve ClashRun services, including tracking your runs, calculating ClashPoints and rankings, enabling competitive features like territorial conquest, sending notifications about your progress, and analyzing app performance to make improvements.

Location Data

ClashRun collects precise location data (GPS coordinates) during active run sessions to track your route, calculate distance, and determine territorial conquest. When you connect a fitness device or service, we also receive GPS route data from your activities. Location data is essential to core ClashRun features. You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings, though this will limit app functionality.

Third-Party Fitness Integrations

  • ClashRun allows you to connect third-party fitness devices and services to automatically sync your activities.
  • Supported integrations include: Garmin Connect, Apple HealthKit, and other fitness platforms.
  • When you connect a third-party service, we receive activity data including: start/end time, duration, distance, GPS route coordinates, pace, elevation, and heart rate (when available).
  • We only access data you explicitly authorize through the third-party service's permission system.
  • You can disconnect any third-party integration at any time from your ClashRun account settings.
  • Disconnecting will stop future data syncing but will not delete previously synced activities.

How We Use Activity Data from Third-Party Services

  • Calculate ClashPoints based on your running performance
  • Determine territorial conquest from GPS routes
  • Display your activity history and statistics
  • Enable competition features with other ClashRun users
  • Improve our services and user experience

Data Sharing

  • Your public profile and run statistics may be visible to other ClashRun users
  • Competitive rankings and territorial conquests are shared within the ClashRun community
  • We do NOT sell your personal data or activity data to third parties
  • We do NOT share your raw activity data with other platforms or services
  • We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics for analytics purposes
  • We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Activity data from third-party integrations is stored to maintain your history and rankings. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and activity history. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Children's Privacy

ClashRun is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of ClashRun after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
